Attendance

The Academy aims to provide positive learning experiences for all its students and to ensure all students reach their maximum potential. Attendance is a key component in realising this aim. Students cannot learn if they are not present in lessons.

All young people benefit from attending school regularly. As well as educating young people, the Academy provides opportunities for making friends and learning how to get on with people. Students are encouraged to develop any talents or skills they may have, as well as the essential skills of reading, writing and numeracy and success in securing their qualifications. Young people who do not attend the Academy miss out on these opportunities.

Parental support in ensuring their child attends the Academy is essential. Students need to be in the Academy daily for every lesson. If parents have difficulty getting their children to attend the Academy for any reason please contact us and we will work with you to ensure your child attends and their learning is not hindered.
